PPI participates in the RIPEEE consortium, a regional initiative bringing together complementary industrial expertise to develop circular solutions for plastic materials.
The objective is to help close the loop, managing multiple stages from plastic waste recovery through the manufacture of new finished products.
The RIPEEE consortium brings together capabilities to:
- Purify plastic resins recovered from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE / e-waste)
- Formulate and compound custom recycled materials
- Maintain traceability, material consistency and quality throughout the process
- Produce recycled materials at industrial scale
- Manufacture filament for 3D printing and provide on-demand 3D printing
- Engineer and manufacture plastic parts and tooling
- Integrate recycled materials into finished products while meeting defined specifications
- Support packaging and downstream preparation
Developing Future Skills
- The project also supports the development of future plastics-industry skills
- Raises awareness among regional stakeholders regarding waste sorting, recovery and recycling
More than 15 experts contribute to the consortium:
- Environnement Recycling: E-waste collection and processing, resin purification and project coordination
- LabPlastics: Material formulation, compounding and 3D printing
- CEP-Recycling: Extrusion, material homogenization and production capacity
- Précis Plastic Injection: Injection molding and mold engineering & manufacturing
- IMP-INSA: Advanced material characterization and co-extrusion
By combining complementary expertise across the plastics value chain, RIPEEE is developing practical regional solutions for circular plastics manufacturing.
Come meet with us to discuss your projects and expectations. We’d be delighted to help you!
